Dr Geza Benke

Dr Benke is an Occupational Hygienist and Epidemiologist specializing in Occupational and Environmental Health issues. He has a BSc in Physics, an MAppSc in Environmental Engineering and a PhD in Epidemiology. He formerly worked for the EPA Victoria in the 1980s, OHS consulting in the early 1990s and between 1992 and 2026 worked as a senior research fellow for Monash University’s Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health, Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine. He has over 100 published peer reviewed papers in occupational cancer and respiratory disease and was the co-author of a text-book on Occupational Hygiene. In 2008 he was the president of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene. His areas of expertise include, non-ionising radiation, occupational and environmental noise, occupational vibration exposure.
